We were very happy that we went with Joe and his crew. Our roof had hail damage and we needed to get it fixed fast because we were selling the house. Joe took care of everything including working with insurance to get the biggest settlement, unlocking the gate to let the crew in, staying on site while the work was done, and keeping me informed of how things were going. He even worked with the new owners of the house to get them warranty paperwork. I am convinced the house got a better roof than it would have if I had used someone else. Our roof/house incurred hail damage late 2019 and our neighborhood was immediately inundated with flyers/business cards stuck in our door every day, as well as fast talking reps from out of town roofing companies stopping by, many with skeptical cost saving propositions. Taking short cuts on our roof has never been an option, so we did some research and decided to go with a highly reputable local company (First United).. Joe and his team did not disappoint us!. They provided us with a detailed insight on the roofing options, met with our insurance adjuster and also acted as our general contractor for other repairs associated with the storm damage. First United were conscious of inclement weather, kept us informed and scheduled our roof replacement at the appropriate time time.. The material arrived exactly when they said it would and their work crew showed up on time (To me, as a military veteran, punctuality says a lot about a company's consideration for its customers) . The onsite manager, Doug, was friendly, professional and answered every questions that we had that day. Joe and the First United Roofing professionals provided great service to us during our recent roof replacement process. We had several different companies look at the roof, and different quotes on the cost of the roof. From the first meeting until the last, First United was above board, working with us and our insurance company to provide the highest level of roof installation. As with any professional, he provided us with different quotes based upon roofing materials required, and any additional city required code upgrades. After the insurance adjuster reviewed the situation and stated that a new roof was required, Joe and his team put together a final quote that met our needs and which fit into our budget with the insurance pay out. During the roofing process, a supervisor was on site ensuring that a quality job was accomplished from start to finish. The old roof was removed, the roof deck was checked for holes and weak places. Minor repairs were made to the deck before a new fireplace "cricket" was added to prevent future leakage. A heavy duty tar felt was placed across the entire roof before the new GAF class four roof was installed. The crew did an excellent job of clean up with no trace of roofing materials, nails, etc to be found. Joe followed up with the final paper work of a total bill, insurance forms, and lifetime warranties. We are sure that this new roof will meet our needs for years to come.
